Lamp for Illumination
Introduction
When illumination is your one and only requirement, you could depend on Foscarini Dolmen. This lamp is mounted on a frame of anodized aluminium and is a good source of illumination. Because of the two diffusers, it is able to discharge high intensity soft light.
Design
The design of Foscarini Dolmen is simple as it is not intended to impart any decorative value to where it is being used. It is designed to make it a straight forward illumination unit. The frame is made of anodized aluminium. The light source are two florescent bulbs. There are two diffusers, one in the front and one in the rear. The lamp is designed in such a way that you can buy them as one unit or a few units mounted in one frame. There is a possibility to use it as a suspension lamp or a wall lamp. As its only intention is lighting, there is no coloring or delicate styling with this simple and clean lamp.
Illumination
As the sole purpose of Foscarini Dolmen is illumination it is very efficient on the job. It utilizes the full potential of the two florescent bulbs by letting all the light generated in the bulbs out. This is done by getting the two diffusers to diffuse all the light to illuminate the area with high intensity diffused light. The front diffuser is white and supplies the front side with well diffused white light. The rear diffuser is transparent and it is able to scatter light which gives an appealing effect. The polycarbonate diffusers are very efficient on the diffusion of light.
Location
Foscarini Dolmen could be located anywhere. Wherever you need light of high intensity, this lamp will come in handy. One place it could be placed is the kitchen. You could have one over the kitchen table and use it when you need high intensity light for your cooking. The possibility is there to use these anywhere in the house as they could be fixed to the wall or they could be used as suspension lamps. Also being able to use in singles or multiples is a useful feature as sometimes a single lamp is not sufficient to illuminate a large area.
